Terms of Service

What we do

We are a mobile notary and document service: we travel to you at home, at work, at a hospital or care facility, or inside a correctional facility. We perform notarial acts, handle I-9 employment verification, prepare and track apostille requests with the Pennsylvania Department of State, retrieve government and agency records, and coordinate certified translation through a professional partner.

We serve Dauphin, Cumberland, Perry, York, Lebanon, and Lancaster counties, by appointment, subject to availability. Availability is not a guarantee: a particular time, a particular facility, or a same-day request may not be possible.

What we do not do

• We do not give legal advice, prepare legal documents, or choose a document for you.
• We do not verify that a document is complete, correct, or fit for its purpose.
• We do not decide whether a particular person may serve as your witness. Requirements vary by document. Confirm them with the document's preparer or the receiving organization.
• We do not guarantee that any agency, court, or country will accept a document we notarized, filed, or retrieved.

Notarial acts are governed by Pennsylvania law

Our notary is commissioned by the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania and works under the Revised Uniform Law on Notarial Acts and the rules of the Pennsylvania Department of State. Those rules, not our preference, decide what may be notarized.

The notary must refuse an act the law does not permit. That includes, among other situations, a signer who cannot be satisfactorily identified; a signer who does not appear to understand what they are signing, or who appears to be signing under pressure; a document with blanks left incomplete; and any matter in which the notary has a disqualifying interest. A refusal is not a judgment about you, and it is not negotiable. Where we have already traveled to you, the travel fee still applies.

Quotes and prices

The price you see in our calculator is built from the answers you give: your town, the time of day, the number of notarial acts, witnesses, and the service itself. It is an estimate of that appointment, not a bill.

A quoted price is confirmed when we confirm your appointment. Until then it can change, because the facts it was built from can change. If the job on the day is different from the job you described (more documents, more signatures, an added witness, a different address, a later hour), we will tell you the new price before we begin, and you may decline.

Some services carry costs we do not control. Government and agency fees for document retrieval, shipping on an apostille filing, and expedited or overnight shipping are quoted separately and added at cost when they are known. An apostille price is therefore a starting figure until the shipping is settled.

Pennsylvania notarial fees

The fee for a notarial act ($5 per act) is set by Pennsylvania law, not by us. It is always shown as its own line, separate from our travel, specialty, and service fees, so you can see exactly what the state sets and what we charge.

Payment

Payment is due before work begins. Appointments that can be booked online are paid in full when you pick your time: general notary work, vehicle title notarization, loan signings, I-9 verification, and estate and hospital signings. Certified translation is also paid online, when you place the order. Correctional facility signings are never billed upfront: we confirm the visit with the facility first, and request payment only once the signing is guaranteed to be possible. Your card is charged then, and the appointment is not held until it is.

Apostille filings and document retrieval are not booked or paid for on this site. We confirm the whole total with you first, including any government fee and shipping, and take payment directly before we begin, because we commit money on your behalf to a state office or an agency as soon as the work starts.

Card payments are handled by Stripe on their own secure pages. We never see or store your card number.

Government fees are not refundable

Once a filing is made, the government fee is spent. The Commonwealth or the agency keeps it whether or not the endorsement is issued, and that holds even when the filing is rejected because of an error in the document or in the details given to us. We cannot refund money we no longer hold.

If a filing comes back rejected, we will tell you what went wrong and what refiling would cost, so you can decide what you want to do next.

What we need from you

• Every signer present in person, with an unexpired government-issued photo ID.
• The document complete and unsigned: most notarizations require signing in the notary's presence.
• Any witnesses you are providing yourself, present and with their own ID.
• A location where we can meet safely and work, and honest notice of anything that affects access, such as a facility's approval process.

Cancellations and rescheduling

Plans change and we would rather you told us. The full policy, including the free window and what a no-show costs, is on the cancellation and rescheduling policy page, and it forms part of these terms.

Limits

We do our work carefully and carry the insurance and bond our commission requires. We are not responsible for the contents of your documents, for a third party's decision to accept or reject them, or for delays caused by an agency, a carrier, or a facility. Except where Pennsylvania law does not allow it to be limited, our liability for a service is limited to the fees you paid us for that service.

Privacy

How we handle your information, your documents, and your appointment details is described in our privacy policy , which forms part of these terms.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania, and any dispute arising from them or from our services belongs in the courts of Pennsylvania. If a court finds one part unenforceable, the rest still stands.

Changes to these terms

We may update these terms. The version on this page at the time you book is the one that applies to that appointment, and the date at the top tells you when it last changed.
